Wow! I never ate such good (vegan) dumplings, this one. First time I really enjoyed it. Mostly I don’t really eat this. When they brought it, I thought, “Oh, I don’t like it anyway.” But then I tried some to make them happy and then, “Oh, I’m very happy now.” Myself. See! That’s the thing about making others happy – you’ll be happy. They made it so good, so tasty. […] Or it’s maybe your hungry energy that lends me the taste. […]

You’ve finished eating? (Yes.) I look around, only me eating. (You) know what? The kitchen will love that. They will love you more because you ate it all and I didn’t. Enjoy more if you need more. Any more food? Is there any more food? Or is this all? (Yes. There’s more.) There’s more. OK. They say there’s more food. So, something’s coming.

I’m so glad this time we have a little bigger tent, so everybody can sit there and feel a little more comfortable. Also, this year is very mild. (Yes.) Looks like the climate really changed. (Yes.) What kind of winter is this? Like summer or like autumn at least, or the end of spring or something. So warm.

It’s really the climate changing. They better hurry up, man. Because I lived here before, in winter also, and it’s never been so warm like this. And last year wasn’t this warm. (No.) Last year was cold. Everybody had snuffy noses and things. This year, nothing. I don’t feel that cold. I don’t even wear warm clothes. I do wear maybe some like long (thermal) underwear. And they give me a lot of clothes, puffy type of clothes, puffy inside, and frilling around; and when I wear it, I don’t know what I look like – bunny rabbit or something. And shocking pink color even. Oh man! Getting surprised all the time. The older I get, the more colorful they give me.

Who made these (vegan) dumplings? Can you find this person? Who cooked it? The (vegan) dumplings. Try to find that person. (OK.) Because I rarely like (vegan) dumplings, and it’s delicious today. (OK.) Maybe because it’s still warm? Because normally I eat it cold. Really, don’t look. That’s very bad manners, to look at people’s mouths when they’re eating. Not joking, serious! Very bad manners. Suppose I keep staring at you when you’re eating, do you like it? (No.) No, then treat me the same. I mean, there is time when I’m talking to you, and you can look at me; but when I’m eating, please do not. It’s really good, this one. You know, this one. (Yes, Master.) Normally, I don’t like them. I hardly eat them, rarely; but today it tastes really good. Even though I ate some already, not this, downstairs, but meaning, I’m not hungry, still tastes so good.

Have these cameramen eaten anything? Did they eat anything? Have you eaten? (No.) No. Oh my God. Let him eat. OK? (OK. Thank You, Master.) I’ll take half of it. OK. Go. (OK. Thank You, Master.) For that cameraman. He didn’t eat. You eat, and let the camera roll by itself. Give him the… Give him some utensils. Or he can use his hands? Eat. Hufa (dharma guards). I’m sorry. Let the kitchen bring it to the cameraman. Hufa (dharma guards), you take turns to go down and continue eating. (I’m full.) You’re full. Really? (I’ve finished eating.) Did you take turns to go down and eat? OK.

I don’t need any more apartments in Taipei. They are improving. Thank you. The food is better now, no need apartment in Taiwan or Taipei. (But I’m going to keep an eye on it anyway, in case.) Huh? (I’m going to keep an eye on it, in case) Oh. (things change.) Oh, no need. (Always be prepared.) I don’t have time. Even if I want to go, how? A lot of work and dog(-people) and how can I escape? Maybe once in a while or something, but I don’t… I doubt it. When I’m somewhere, I just stay there. (Yes.) I’m not a jumpy person. Even if it’s bad, I just continue. (Well, I took it after You. Whenever I go, I stay two, three, four, five months. So, three months over here all the time.) Oh, you’re lucky. (Well, I…) Enjoy your luck. (I came of age now, I can do that. Thank You.) I don’t know when I can retire, so forget it. (Everything is always thanks to You, Master. Everything.) Enjoy. (Thank You.) Enjoy your food. (I did. Thanks.)

You guys enjoy your food? (Yes. Thank You.) I’m glad. I’m glad. I also enjoy. Cameraman, OK? Is it better? Help out. Tell the kitchen to take this to the cameraman, the one who hasn’t eaten. And this. This is for the one who’s standing over there. (OK.) This is for the one who hasn’t eaten yet. OK? (OK.) And this is for the cameraman here. Understand? Two different persons. Go. Just a little. One more. This side. There’re two people. What to do? Come, OK. Three, oh! I don’t have anything left. Oh! Thank you, thank you. I’m too fat, too full. Cameramen. Two. You have it already? (Yes.) Just a little. OK. Symbol, it’s a symbol only. Symbolic, OK? (And still another…) Whom? For whom? The other one. You’re all hiding. I didn’t know you existed there. Come again? Thank you. (There’re more, there’re more.) Enough, enough.

Who cooked it? You did? (From the south.) Huh? (Someone from the south.) Where? Did you find the person? (She’s not here now. I go and find her.) It’s alright. Fine. I don’t want to see her now. Next time. (OK.) Everyone is busy, don’t do it. (OK.) If you know who she is, tell her that Master praises her. OK? (OK, OK.) Good! (OK.) (Here. Master.) Did you cook it? Ah, wonderful. No need to kneel. It hurts. Come. I didn’t want you to come here for punishment. Try eating it. (Wow!) Very good! (Thank You.) Thank you. Marvelous. One more. (There’s a big helper.) Huh? (There’s still a main helper and an assistant helper.) There’s still a papa? (Yes. Helper.) OK, OK. Come. (Thank You.) Two pieces for each. (OK. Thanks. And a sister was also helping.) Oh, another sister helping. Thank you all. What happened? Too happy? Don’t be too happy, then it’s no problem. Too happy. I said, “Don’t be too happy, then it’s no problem.” Don’t be jealous. She said there are helpers, so I gave them, one each, something. Symbolic, not that they need it. Symbolic of love.

But sometimes… I ate them before, but not so good, not just right like this. Sometimes they put too much ginger or… I don’t know why. This one is just perfect. Or it’s maybe your hungry energy that lends me the taste.

If you hufa (dharma guards) sit every time… It’s fine to sit for a little while. Standing too long will make you tired. Are there any chairs? No? No, then what to do? There are chairs down there and they didn’t bring them up here. Send one person to go down to get the chairs if you want. The small chairs. Ah, there they are. Give him one also. The audio team, have they eaten yet? Those sitting beside the camera, have you eaten? Thank you. (Deep fried eggplant.) Has the audio team had their meal? Those sitting over there. You have eaten just now? (Yes.) OK. (Thank You, Master.) OK, OK. Kitchen, the food is truly delicious. You give it to… Wait a minute. I cut it first. Wait. I’m cutting. (OK.) One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten… I don’t know. Too many. Too many people. Each of them takes one piece. (OK. Yes.)

This one is truly delicious. Difficult to share. Go and give them. One piece per person. OK? (OK. Yes, Master. Thank You, Master.) Do you have something like toothpicks? They can pick the food by themselves. Or use their hands. Toothpicks. Yes? (OK. OK.) Toothpicks. Do you have it here? (I’ll check. There should be some.) OK. (OK.) One piece for each. Let them help themselves. (OK.) (Thank You, Master.) For the cameramen. Give it to the cameramen. (OK.) One piece per person. Yes. You went to find them (toothpicks)? Found them? Very good. OK. Get more toothpicks. (OK. We have.)
