Here is a neat tip on how to make crystallized ginger, also known as dried sliced ginger. This is a popular snack in Asia. Not only is it tasty, but ginger also contains medicinal properties—soothing sore throats and suppressing coughs. When ginger is used to make tea, it can serve as an effective treatment for nausea and indigestion. Crystallized ginger is easy to make at home! Start by pouring some water into a saucepan and bringing it to a boil. Meanwhile, slice up some ginger and add it to the pan along with 130 grams (1 cup) of organic sugar and then put the lid back on. Lower the heat and let it simmer for five minutes. After this, take the pan off the heat and let it sit for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 90 degrees Celsius (200 degrees Fahrenheit), which is usually the minimum heat possible in most ovens. Strain the ginger slices and set them out evenly on a glass or ceramic baking pan and place this in the oven. Allow them to bake until the slices of ginger are nearly dry, but still chewy. Let them cool and then mix them with a small amount of granulated sugar to lightly coat them. Store these in an airtight container. Bon Appetit!

Now, it’s time to imbue our cells with some fun vibrations with the joke of the day. It’s called “The Walls have Ears.”

Melody was talking to her friend, Sara, at the coffee shop:

“I am living in a tiny apartment, the walls are very thin, and anything I say the neighbors can hear it clearly. I don’t know what to do.”

“Yes, we all need a little privacy. Why don’t you add a layer of acoustic wood?”

Thinking for a moment, Melody shook her head:

“No, that won't work. Then, I won't be able to hear them talk!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Cherenet in Ethiopia:

Dear Supreme Master TV team and Supreme Master Ching Hai, I am 14 years old and I have been watching your TV shows for like two months now. It really changed me a lot to be vegan. The last message is that Supreme Master Ching Hai, I love You and I love Your messages about world peace. I hope all human beings will turn to make a vegan world. Thanks!! Cherenet from Ethiopia

Wise Cherenet, It’s so wonderful to hear that you have been watching our shows and that you understand the importance of being vegan! Your note is a reminder of exactly why we do this work. Thank you for all that you do to make this world a more peaceful place. May you and the gentle Ethiopian people always walk in the Light of God’s infinite Grace, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master responds with care: “Remarkable Cherenet, your heartfelt wish for a vegan world is so touching and wise, especially when it comes from such a tender age. I am so happy that you watch Supreme Master TV and share in our vision of World Vegan, World Peace. I love you, too, and I’m sending you a big hug! Thank you for being vegan. I pray that you and all of your Ethiopian brothers and sisters soon wake up to a peaceful and compassionate vegan planet.”
