3D printing has made progress and will hopefully supplant donated organs in transplant procedures. Organovo, a firm in USA already offers 3D-printed livers and kidneys for drug testing. Aspect, a biotechnology company in Canada is currently working on a method to 3D print a part of the human knee known as the meniscus. Some companies in USA and other countries are working to produce 3D-printed human skin, 3D-printed skin may be used for grafts in repairing burns and ulcers.
