I have a useful tip for us on preventing window condensation inside your home during cold weather. Kitchen appliances such as an oven, kettle, or boiling pans can generate a lot of steam. If you’re routinely using these appliances, open the kitchen windows or use an extraction hood to allow the steam to escape. Warm showers will also produce a lot of steam. The more time you spend in the shower, the more steam is created, causing condensation. To keep this from happening, open the bathroom window prior to or following your shower and have shorter showers. You can also use the dehumidifier function on air-conditioners, or dry heating systems to keep condensation levels down in your home.
