The principle guidelines of various practicing methods to follow the example of Maitreya Buddha are: being compassionate and practice non-killing, refraining from eating meat, learning to look upon all things in the World with compassion, helping the poor and needy, and treating people who did wrong with tolerance and forgiveness.
