In today’s news, Japan continues providing Afghan families and refugees with humanitarian aid. Rising air pollution in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, city linked to surge in respiratory ailments seen by local ear, nose and throat hospital, Dominican Republic scientists use assisted fertilization to replenish coral reefs, African Development Fund approves added financing for Republic of Guinea’s electricity interconnection project, brave United States rescuers transfer baby in a car seat through floodwaters to safety, Estonia-based company introduces vegan fish fillets to domestic market, and Canadian non-profit group saves entangled sea lion-person.

In between mowing the grass, I love to tend to my flowers. Here is a garden tip for you. Orchids can be propagated successfully from healthy flower stems, making it a simple and low-cost way to revive weak or slow-growing plants. Start by selecting a healthy flower spike with dormant buds and cut it cleanly. Seal the cut ends with candle wax to prevent moisture loss and reduce the risk of rot. Prepare a mild ginger infusion and soak both the stem and a prepared moss bed to gently disinfect them, add warmth, and support recovery. Place the prepared stem on the moss inside a lightly ventilated container that provides bright, indirect light and steady humidity. Mist lightly about once a week to maintain stable conditions. With patience, small orchid plantlets usually appear after around four weeks and continue strengthening over the following two months after which they can be transferred to a suitable new base.

Laughter can decrease stress and increase immunity, so let’s laugh together with the joke of the day called, “Sans Stones, Yet Costly.”

As Jenny checked into the bustling hospital for her upcoming procedure, the admissions clerk extended her hand toward her wrist with a polite smile.

“Alright, ma’am, if you could just hold out your arm— I’m going to put on a bracelet.”

“Ooh, fancy! Does it come with rubies and diamonds sparkling all over?”

“Afraid not, but trust me, it’ll cost you just as much in the end.”
