I would like to share a useful tip with you. Have you done some handy work and come across a headless nail that is only partially inserted into the wood? A very effective way to remove this is by utilizing both a claw framing hammer and a pair of linesman pliers. Lay the hammer head down against the wood and position it so the broken nail is jutting up between the claws. Next, grasp the nail shaft with the wire cutter jaws on the linesman pliers. Ensure that the tool is held tight against the hammer claws. While you are pulling back on the hammer handle, pull up and back on the nail using the pliers. You should be able to remove the headless nail with the combined leverage from both tools.
