In today’s news, research confirms dangers of climate change, Seoul supports Pyongyang’s food security efforts, Spain advances in renewable energy, growing number of Australians abstain from alcohol, Emirati athlete sets world record, tofu sales soar in United Kingdom, and compassionate American teen raises funds for senior dogs.

Experts advise mitigating climate change to assist global health and economy.

In a recent report by the United States’ nonprofit organization National Bureau of Economic Research, a team of international scientists calculated that global warming could cause an average 85 deaths per 100,000 people annually worldwide by 2100. This is more than the official number of people currently succumbing to all infectious diseases combined. Those most impacted by rising temperatures would be elderly populations and people in tropical and poorer regions. Furthermore, mortalities linked to higher emissions would cost the society nearly US$37 per ton of CO2, and lead to an approximately 3.2% global economic output decline by 2100. The authors urged all policymakers to take action to curb these negative effects of global warming. Many thanks, National Bureau of Economic Research scientists, for the insightful analysis. May world governments take heed of your findings and quickly enact the life-protecting, low-emissions Vegan Law, in Divine wisdom.

Seoul government supports Pyongyang’s food security efforts.

His Excellency Lee In-Young, the Minister of Unification in Seoul, Korea, has announced a US$10 million donation to the World Food Programme to provide Pyongyang with essential food and nutrition for its citizens. The assistance, which includes 9,000 tons of fortified foods and 3,600 tons of corn, beans and cooking oil, will feed approximately 143,000 children and 31,500 pregnant and nursing women in 60 counties. The government will also spend a further US$2.4 million on turning the Demilitarized Zone across the Korean Peninsula into a cultural space by using facilities in the inter-Korean transit office and remodeling unused guard posts into places for cultural exchanges. Thank you, Your Excellency Lee In-Young, and Seoul for the vital resources and peace-making initiatives. May Korea flourish evermore with unity and joy, in Heavenly goodness.

Up next, Spain advances in renewable energy. We thank all the professional EKG technicians who administer electrocardiograms and other tests to monitor the heart health of patients. More assuring news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo, virtuous viewers, it’s Audrey the vegan Aardwolf Cub! Some consider me an intellectual star. I credit my brilliance to my compassionate and nourishing way of eating. Be smart and be vegan, like me! I have a tidying tip for you. Boost your home organization by folding newly-washed bedding sets, including flat and fitted sheets, and tucking them into their matching pillow cases prior to stowing them away. This will not only save you closet space, but also time searching for matching pieces when you make your bed. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for your attention. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe.

Spain to soon host largest green hydrogen plant in Europe.

A €150 million hydrogen plant running on 100% renewable energy sources will soon be constructed in former coal-mining town Puertollano, funded by Spain-headquartered multinational electric utility company Iberdrola and fertilizer company Fertiberia. The hydrogen will be generated by 100 megawatts of solar panels, a battery system and an electrolyzer. Once created, the hydrogen will then power the eco-fertilizer plant with an estimated 40,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide being saved each year. Felicitations, Spain, Iberdrola and Fertiberia, on your awesome project generating fertilizers from sunshine. May your initiative be the first of many projects helping our world move quickly towards a fully carbon-neutral future, in God’s light.

Survey finds more Australians are giving up alcohol.

The National Drug Strategy Household Survey 2019 found that 1.9 million Australians have stopped consuming alcohol – 400,000 more abstainers compared to 2016 survey results. This number is largely driven by young people, with more than 21% of those aged between 18-29 not drinking alcohol, which is more than double the number in 2001. Alcohol researcher and sociologist Dr. Amy Pennay of La Trobe University cites increased global acceptance of individual choices and social reasons such as not liking the effects of alcohol for propelling the non-drinking trend among youth. Older people, on the other hand, are more likely to limit or cease drinking for health reasons, as awareness grows of alcohol’s detrimental effects such as causing cancer and early mortality. Our gratitude, National Drug Strategy Household Survey and Dr. Amy Pennay, for your valuable information. May the shining Australian people continue to treasure their all-round wellbeing, in Divine benevolence.

Female soccer player from United Arab Emirates achieves world record.

Areej Al Hammadi from the UAE recently made the Guinness World Record for soccer ball hotstepping. In one minute, she completed 86 repetitions of the footwork trick, which is 30 repetitions more than the previous record. The challenge took place in Mirdif, Dubai, with a FIFA approved football. Ms. Al Hammadi, who is a member of the UAE National Football Team, stated, “It’s a proud moment and achievement for me, for my name to be on there, for my country, and for women around the world. I’m really happy.” Congratulations, Areej Al Hammadi, on winning this impressive recognition with your remarkable agility and skill. May people all over the world be blessed to reach higher potentials in all good-natured aspirations.

Coming up, Tofu sales soar in United Kingdom. It’s time for us to take a moment to check if our actions are in line with our ideals. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Pleasant News for an Amiable World.

British study finds sales of tofu leap amid COVID-19 lockdown.

Research by the United Kingdom-based consulting company Kantar revealed that sales of tofu increased by 87.1% during the 12 weeks before June 2020, when lockdown measures were in place. Sales of other vegan products including plant-based ground meat, vegan sausages and animal-free burgers also increased during that time. A survey conducted by the Vegan Society reported that 20% of British citizens reduced their meat consumption during lockdown due to health, animal rights or environmental concerns. Additionally, around 50% of those who tried vegan meat and milk alternatives, decided to remain with these choices after lockdown. Thank you for the significant reports, Kantar and Vegan Society. May more people commit to rescuing lives and protecting our precious planet as we transition into a vegan era, in Celestial jubilation.

Compassionate American teen raises funds for senior dogs.

Fourteen-year-old Meena Kumar from San Jose, California, donated US$14,000 to non-profit Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, which rescues approximately 1,000 older canines a year. Meena earned half of her donation through over five years’ worth of proceeds from her own dog-sitting home business, Pet Fairy Services. The other half of the contribution came from a matching donation from Intel Corporation, where Meena’s father is employed. Adopted in India when she was two years old, Meena is particularly empathetic towards providing second chances. Encouraging people to adopt senior dogs during this unprecedented time of the pandemic, Meena said, “We need their love more than ever.” God bless you, Meena Kumar, for your kind heart and diligent love in action. Thank you also, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, for all you do. In Heaven’s embrace, may our canine friends be respected and cared for as they share their love and blessings with our world. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Joyfully present Meena Kumar the Shining World Compassion Award and chip in US$10,000 to help with her fund for the senior loving dogs. Also another US$10,000 for Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. May God shower you, loving princess Meena, Ms. Franklin and all kindly involved, with all love, joy and luck in life. May all the seniors you care for be blessed by merciful Heavens. In God’s Love.”

How about a good laugh to enhance your face, it’s called “Nothing to Lose.”

“Dad, will you help me with my homework?”

“I’m sorry. It wouldn’t be right.”

“Well, at least you could try.”

And now we have a heartline from Parviz in Iran:

Greetings to Supreme Master Ching Hai, with my utmost love and respect!

Dear Master, these days in Iran, the country where we were born and raised, there have been problems and disasters that have saddened people as well as spiritual practitioners. These conditions are only bearable by receiving Supreme Master TV on satellite and seeing Master in Iranian homes again after some years. Thank You for replying to our prayers. The news that aired on Supreme Master Television (January 12, 2020), as well as Your message at the beginning of the New Year 2020, prompted me to write this letter. I was watching Part 4 of “The Demonic States of the Form and the Feeling Skandhas,” on Between Master and Disciples. Maybe this request seems selfish but, Supreme Master of the Universe, please stay in good health for the beings that still need Your presence and help. My only wish is for You to achieve Your beautiful wishes. All of us, brothers and sisters who wish to see our beloved Master in person at least once in our lifetimes, hope to have the opportunity to meet You. Thanks to the perfect Light of the World, Supreme Master Ching Hai. Parviz from Iran

Encouraging Parviz, Our appreciation for sharing your hopes and dreams with us.

Supreme Master Ching Hai has a message for you: “Much-loved Parviz, I embrace you and your spiritual Iranian brothers and sisters and am delighted that Supreme Master Television is available in Iran and can help sustain your spirits and soothe your gentle hearts. I shall do my best to stay well and continue to strive for Peace in all corners of our planet. Not just for humans but for all including the poor helpless animals. This is the dearest wish in my heart. Thank you for also doing your part. May Allah keep you and the hospitable Iranians in good health, and may your laudable nation shine brightly, bringing harmony and abundance throughout the land.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

We sure have enjoyed spending time with you on Noteworthy News. May our world be graced with peace for all.
