In today’s news, humanitarian corridors safely bring refugees to Italy. Chinese-led study finds climate change accelerating carbon loss in Amazon, Australian research links plant-forward diet to healthier aging biomarkers in older adults, more Singaporean fathers leaving workforce to care for their children, US police officer saves family from burning home, Swiss agriculture sees decline in numbers of dairy cow- and pig-people, and conservation achievements bring optimism for saving threatened species worldwide.

A fresh and clean home is what I love to return to after a day of learning. Here is a handy cleaning tip. If you want to reduce waste, the type of lint remover you use can make a big difference. Traditional disposable lint rollers create a lot of waste, and their sticky sheets cannot be recycled. Reusable lint removers are an eco-friendlier choice. They don’t need disposable sheets, which helps reduce waste and saves money on replacements. They are effective at removing lint, dust, pet hair and fur, and debris and can be used on clothing, upholstery, car interiors, bedding, and office furniture. Most reusable lint brushes are designed with directional fibers; simply brush the surface in the correct direction – typically against the grain – to lift debris. Once collected, remove the fur or lint by hand, dispose of it, and use the brush again. By choosing a reusable lint remover, you can keep your clothes and furniture looking fresh, reduce single-use waste, and save money over time.

Let’s open the laughter medicine bottle and have a healthy dose with the joke of the day, entitled, “The Blank Stare.”

Gavin sat at his desk, looking at his computer, when his coworker asked:

“Rough morning?”

“I tried to function without coffee today.”

“Brave. How’d that go?”

“I stared at my computer like it owed me answers.”

“I hear you, man. Caffeine translates the world.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Cantonese, with multiple-language subtitles, from Tsz-Ching in Hong Kong:
First of all, I thank Master, The United Trinity Utmost Powerful, and the all-pervading Blessing Power of Supreme Master TV, which has elevated Earth and even extraterrestrial realms spiritually!
Master once said that those to whom you give alms are able to receive your offerings because they have accumulated merit, and that you’d never know if the recipient of your alms may be a Bodhisattva, which can bring you tremendous blessings! In recent years, in the Kowloon area of Hong Kong, the number of homeless people living on the streets has increased quite a bit. Upon learning this, initiates in Hong Kong prepared and handed out vegan homemade baked food for them to enjoy!
This time, unlike previous distributions of boxed cooked meals, we changed to vegan Swiss rolls, a type of sweet, plus brown rice balls and multigrain drinks. It was because Master recently showed self-made desserts and said self-cooked meals, fresh fruits, and self-baked cakes, when shared with others, “are meant to be pleasant, sweet reminders for families’ members to be more caring for each other; though these seem mundane, in this physical world they are the immediate comfort and healing for any chipped emotion and peace.”
The initiates participated very enthusiastically! We first went to the pedestrian tunnel, the place with the most homeless people. The hygiene conditions were terrible; their tents and belongings stretched endlessly along the tunnel! The initiates approached them one by one, greeted them to respectfully offer the vegan food, vegan flyers, and Supreme Master TV cards, and shared Master’s Name with them so that they could make affinity! They all gratefully accepted the food and continuously expressed their thanks! After that, we went to two parks where the homeless gather and also handed out those things to local residents who were enjoying the cool shade in the park!
The next day after the activity, I suddenly fell ill because I had caught a cold! I had always been afraid of seeing a doctor, but I was unable to delay it this time and went directly to see one. The doctor even diagnosed me with spleen and stomach conditions. Then, with courage out of nowhere, I let go of my stubborn attachment and followed the doctor’s instructions for follow-up visits. Now my health has improved a lot! The activity this time made me realize that an act of loving kindness in helping others is actually a way to eliminate one’s own karmic obstacles, which brings one tremendous blessings! Respectfully, Tsz-Ching, an initiate from Hong Kong

Bighearted Tsz-Ching, We appreciate your note, which filled us with joy due to your service to the unsheltered in Hong Kong.
We are delighted to have this uplifting message from Master for you: “Caring Tsz-Ching, thank you and the team for your benevolent actions. Giving selflessly is its own reward, yet it often returns multiplied. I am pleased that you are in good health and that you and the Hong Kong GOD’s disciples were able to help the homeless feel cared for by the Quan Yin Family through some vegan sweet treats. Most never know if the person or animal friend they encounter may have been, or is, a Bodhisattva, Saint, or King. See GOD in all you meet. In Divine Light, may you and the capable people of Hong Kong always show compassion for all beings. Thanks and Love to you and the Hong Kong team.”
