“They set fire to the whole forest, just to chase the animals out for them to hunt. They suddenly saw a person he ran around without being harmed at all.” “What type of person was that?” “I heard my Master Confucius say that if someone is in communion with everything, he is one with all beings. Nothing will be able to hurt him or hinder him. He can pass through metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, without any problem.” If we use the Buddha’s eyes to look at a dog, the dog becomes a Buddha. If we are beautiful inside, we see others are beautiful. If we are not beautiful inside, whoever we look at is about the same. Lie Tzu said he saw others make mistakes, he didn’t know if they make the mistakes or he himself did. It means that he could carry karma for others. When they did wrong, it was the same as him doing wrong. This is what he meant. That was why he could interchange with everybody. He couldn’t discriminate. He couldn’t say the mistake that person made was not related to him, because he was one with him.
