Famed American physician calls for less meat consumption to avoid COVID-19

During an interview, well-respected television host, Dr. Mehmet Oz, who is a Harvard University educated cardiothoracic surgeon, explained that over 90% of people admitted to hospital with the coronavirus have existing chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension or are overweight. According to Dr. Oz, the best way to overcome these conditions and enhance the body’s immunity is through diet, particularly reducing meat and sugar consumption and increasing intake of vegetables.
